Terms & conditions

These terms govern your booking and stay at Scar Reef Resort. Please read them carefully. Payment of a deposit or confirmation of a reservation means you accept them in full.

Booking & payment

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from Scar Reef Resort.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival.

Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

Payments can be made by bank transfer, Wise, Revolut or any other payment method offered by Scar Reef Resort. Any transfer or banking fees are the responsibility of the guest.

Rates

All rates are quoted in Indonesian rupiah, IDR, as required by Indonesian law, and may be changed without prior notice until a booking has been confirmed.

Prices shown in any other currency are a converted guide only. Your payment is taken in rupiah.

Rates include only the services specifically listed in your reservation confirmation.

Cancellation & refund policy

A refund percentage applies to what the guest has actually paid, not to the booking total. A guest who has paid a 50% deposit and cancels more than 60 days before arrival is refunded 90 percent of that deposit.

No refund will be issued for:

• No-shows.
• Late arrivals.
• Early departures.
• Unused nights, meals, transfers or activities.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses and adventure activities.

Changes to reservations

Reservation changes are subject to availability and may result in rate adjustments. Scar Reef Resort reserves the right to treat significant date changes as a cancellation and a new booking.

Check-in & check-out

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Activities & ocean conditions

Surfing, snorkeling, boat trips, fishing, SUP and all ocean activities involve inherent risks.

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to participate at your own responsibility.

Scar Reef Resort cannot guarantee:

• Surf conditions.
• Weather.
• Wind.
• Swell size.
• Marine visibility.
• Wildlife sightings, including whale sharks.

Activities may be modified, postponed or cancelled at any time if weather or safety conditions require it.

Health & insurance

Guests confirm they are medically fit to participate in booked activities.

Scar Reef Resort strongly recommends comprehensive travel and medical insurance, including cover for surfing and water sports.

Guest responsibilities

Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local culture and the natural environment.

Any damage caused intentionally or through negligence to resort property or equipment will be charged to the guest.

Scar Reef Resort reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a stay without refund in cases of illegal activity, violence, dangerous behaviour, excessive intoxication or serious disturbance.

Liability

Scar Reef Resort and PT SOBAWA take all reasonable care to provide a safe and enjoyable stay.

However, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PT SOBAWA shall not be liable for losses, delays, injuries or damages resulting from:

• Weather or sea conditions.
• Flight or transport delays.
• Government actions.
• Force majeure events.
• Actions of third-party service providers.
• Loss or damage to personal belongings or sports equipment.

Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings throughout their stay.

Force majeure

Scar Reef Resort shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, earthquakes, volcanic activity, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, transport disruption or extreme weather.

Photography

Photographs and videos taken by Scar Reef Resort for promotional purposes may include guests. If you prefer not to appear in such material, please notify us in writing before or during your stay.

Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process is used solely for reservation management and customer service and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.

Any dispute arising from a booking shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Indonesia.

Acceptance

Payment of a deposit or confirmation of a reservation constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
