Experience & activities
Your days at Scar Reef
From sunrise hikes to endless surf and foil sessions, and snorkelling in water you can see straight through. Pick what you like day by day, or let a package cover it.

The wave out front
A surfing experience of a lifetime
Scar Reef wakes up about thirty times a year with a barrel that takes off like a freight train and several backdoor sections. Advanced surfers will love the challenge. The rest of the year it runs fun and forgiving at 2 to 3 ft, a good playground for a first wave or a cleaner technique.
Little Bingin is next door, less powerful and still entertaining, a sweet A-frame in clear water. Our boats shuttle you to the line-up and back, and a guide can read the day for you before you paddle out.
Guiding and coaching
Local guide and board, straight to the day's best wave.
Coach and board, tailored to your level.
Boat shuttles
One way to Scar Reef or Little Beguin.
One way to the Fantom break.

The newest addition
Learn to fly the lagoon
Foiling turns the flat days into the best days. The lagoon is waist deep, warm and empty, which is exactly what you want under you while you find the balance point.
Start with a discovery session on our gear, or book a coach for a few days to get properly up and riding.
A first taste of foiling behind the boat.
Coach and foil gear.
Under the surface
Coral gardens and quiet water
Life underwater here is something else, and it is best met slowly, mask on, drifting over the coral gardens of Jelenga Bay. Turtles, manta rays and dugongs all pass through.
Gear is yours for the stay. Swim out from the sand, or take the boat to the reefs and the bays nobody else reaches.
Two hours over the coral gardens, gear included, minimum two.
Two hours further afield, minimum two.

Beach days on end
Nowhere much to be
Some days the plan is the sand. Paddle the lagoon on a stand-up board, take out the beach tennis rackets, walk the slackline, then sit down for a cocktail when the light goes gold.
Fishing gear is at reception if you want to bring dinner in, and a coach can straighten out your paddling technique on the way.
Activities
Coach and board on the lagoon.
Lines, bait and a local skipper.

Breathe in, breathe out
This is a good place to step out of the noise for a while. Our shala faces the turquoise lagoon, open on three sides, for yoga, meditation or whatever practice keeps you steady.
For deeper rest, our therapist works from the massage shala, quiet and private, with the sea air coming through. Evenings tend to end at the bonfire on the sand.
The shala and its equipment to yourself.
An hour with our therapist in the massage shala, quiet and private. Booked the same day at reception, subject to their hours.
